The »Architektonische Nachhut« (Architectural Rear-Guard) is a photographic approach to the architectural legacy of the Third Reich in Germany.

The aim was to observe how we deal with the architecture of a past social and historical era.

What is life like in and around these buildings, which were constructed under the National Socialists between 1933 and 1945?

The collection of 130 photographs was compiled in 32 locations in Germany between 2001 and 2006.
